Job Description
The University of Southern California invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral research associate in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. The candidate will conduct research focused on testing of construction materials and structures. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in civil engineering or related fields and experience in experimental methods in construction materials and structural engineering.
Requirements
- Hold a doctoral degree in civil engineering or related fields
- Experience in experimental methods in construction materials and structural engineering
- Publications in respected journals
- Good understanding of testing standards and design guidelines/standards
- Professional engineering license (optional)
- Ability to operate test equipment, perform equipment and sensor calibration, proficiency testing, inventory management, record keeping, coordinate meetings, and prepare for and participate in laboratory audits
Benefits
- Paid annual base salary range: $62,400 - $67,080
