Job Description
The Urban Dove Summer Academy is an 8-week paid internship program that gives college sophomores and juniors the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in alternative education environments. Interns will be placed in one of two professional pathways: Youth Development (YD) Track or Curriculum & Instruction (CI) Track.
Requirements
- Rising junior or senior in college, currently pursuing a degree in Education, Sports Based Youth Development, Sports Management, a Student Athlete, or in a related field
- Passion for working with high school-aged youth, particularly those who have struggled in traditional academic settings
- Interest in sports-based education and mentorship
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to commit to the full 8-week program
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Ability to actively engage with students and move throughout the school as needed.
