Fire Alarm Project Specialist 2 - Hoffman Estates

Convergint is looking for a full-time Fire Alarm Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing world-class service and be able to work under pressure. They will install, program, and test fire alarm systems, and be responsible for customer training and documentation. The role requires a strong understanding of electronics and ability to convey complex subject matter to a non-technical audience.

Requirements

• Convey complex subject matter to a non-technical audience
• Willingsness to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
• Strong understanding of electronics, Ohm's law, resistor color code, and relay logic for control of third-party equipment
• Ability to install, program, test, and repair fire alarm systems
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites and minimal overnight travel may be required
