Role Overview

As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at UWM, you will work with a growing team of QA experts in a fast-paced, agile environment to ensure the quality of deployed software. You will play a pivotal role in helping ensure the quality of deployed software at UWM, working on the Docs AI team that uses AI to recognize and extract financial information during the lending process.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and manage test plans and strategies, perform manual testing, support automated test creation, follow industry standard defect management processes, and suggest and implement new testing processes to streamline development.

We are looking for a candidate with 7+ years of experience in manual software testing, proficiency in testing web services, experience defining test strategy, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in manual software testing
• Proficiency testing web services (such as SoapUI, REST or equivalent tools)
• Experience defining test strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders
• Hands on database testing or SQL experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in identifying data anomalies indicative of software defects.
• Experience in supporting the integration of automation into CI/CD tooling
• Understanding of Object-oriented programming
• Experience in creating scripted tests for API testing (in applications including Postman)
• Knowledge in QA automation tools
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues and solutions in a clear, simple and understandable way
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, test cases and defects
• Develop modular, reusable and maintainable tests to be integrated into existing automation framework by quality engineers
• Ability to mentor less experienced quality analysts
• Available for on-call testing requests
• On-site attendance
