Bioinformatics Analyst, Senior

The Senior Bioinformatics Analyst at Vanderbilt University's Creative Data Solutions (CDS) Shared Resource is responsible for leading bioinformatics analyses, developing statistical models, and researching complex genomic and transcriptomic projects. This role involves collaborating with investigators to interpret research findings, leading collaborative efforts, and mentoring junior team members. They will also contribute to the architectural and maintenance of robust data pipelines.

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, statistics, or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience
• Post-doctoral experience preferred
• Experience with BioVU would be an added benefit
• Experience with long read RNA-Seq is a strong advantage
• Background or experience in bioinformatics and a strong understanding of statistics is required
