The Instructional Technologist works closely with Vanderbilt and School of Nursing Online Learning & Instructional Technology team to assist in the development of new and revision of existing online course offerings. The position assists in creating eLearning resources, rubrics, scripts, storyboards, templates, visual presentations, and interactive components in support of online development strategies.
Requirements
- Collaborate with Faculty, Instructional Designers, and Media Producers to help identify, develop, and implement learning solutions in support of online, hybrid, and face-to-face course development.
- Research, acquire, and evaluate educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Design and implement training programs to help faculty adopt new technologies and teaching practices.
- Facilitate course delivery through course building activities: applying standard templates, organizing and updating content, building out assessments, and tools.
- Provide LMS support to faculty and students through the development and delivery of documentation, user guides, and consultations.
- Track project timelines and activities, updating course status with team and faculty.
- Guide faculty through course stages to ensure timely and successful completion within the LMS.
- Serve as a liaison between VU teaching resources, VUSN Faculty, and other pertinent VU/VUSN department committees.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
