Senior Accountant - Corporate Finance

The Corporate Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis of company results. The position independently manages accounting activities for assigned areas, prepares and reviews complex journal entries and reconciliations, and provides insightful variance analysis versus plan and prior year.

Requirements

• Lead accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned overhead departments and locations.
• Prepare and review journal entries related to accruals, actual expenses, reserves, and other adjustments, ensuring clear documentation of data sources and assumptions.
• Ensure accounting activities and financial reporting comply with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and established corporate accounting policies.
• Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations, and explain period-over-period variances and calculate relevant metrics.
• Develop and deliver ad hoc reports to support management and business analysis requests.
• Troubleshoot financial system issues and respond to user inquiries regarding system functionality.
• Assist with forecasting, planning, and projecting expenses for assigned overhead locations or company-wide expense categories.
