Veterinary Assistant

Requirements

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
• Monitor animal patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures
• Prepare animals for surgery, including catheterization and anesthesia monitoring
• Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Provide proper animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
• Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry practices and post-operative care
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennel areas
