Engineering Technician

VIAVI is a global provider of network test, monitoring and assurance solutions seeking an Engineering Technician for its Lenexa office. The role involves supporting development of RF and digital systems for next generation avionics test equipment, and radio test equipment.

Requirements

• Execute plan made by an engineer/more experienced technician
• Communicate status of work clearly
• Work as part of a team to assist in the setup, run, and completion of test plans and reports
• Read and follow schematics and layout drawings
• Understand system interconnects and wiring practices
• Diagnose and correct connection and wiring problems
• Prepare and execute electrical rework and software updates on lab prototypes
• Track lab equipment and coordinate with Calibration lab
• Author test set up documents
