Job Description
VSS International, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to service their Western US crews. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment, requiring travel to various job sites and potential long periods away from home. A strong mechanical skillset and self-motivation are essential.
Requirements
- Travel in a Commercial maintenance truck to various jobsites throughout the western US.
- Repair and maintenance on specialized equipment such as, oil distributor trucks, loaders/rollers, macropavers, pick-up trucks, and other various equipment.
- Ability to follow direction unsupervised and work well alone or in a team environment.
- Must be able to work all hours as needed, overtime and weekends.
- Visual inspections and preventative maintenance on all construction equipment.
- Work in the shop when needed.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.
- Capability to travel to construction sites and be away for periods of 2-3 weeks at a time.
