Trainee Class 2 Driver

We are offering a Trainee Class 2 Driver position with a permanent full-time contract, starting at £542.74 per week with a local allowance, and rising to £707.78 with a local allowance upon completion of Class 2. The role includes a 6-week training course to gain a Class 2 Licence, ongoing fully funded Driver CPC, and the opportunity to work with a professional fleet, delivering baked goods to multiple customers daily.

Requirements

• Hold a valid UK driving license
• Be able to attain a Class C licence and CPC within a 6-12 month period
• Knowledge and experience of working in a multi-drop distribution role in a FMCG environment
• Knowledge of transport legislation - e.g. Highway Code
• Health and Safety knowledge - understands own responsibilities to work safely and considers the safety of others
• Reasonable geographic knowledge
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of food quality and safety regulations - BRC/AIB standards
• Basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical knowledge
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team working - be able to work within a team as well as work unsupervised for long periods
