
Job description
The Indirect Materials Purchasing Supervisor leads the indirect spend category for the Tijuana operation, providing support to all departments with their indirect product and service needs, and managing the indirect purchasing team. The incumbent is responsible for driving cost reduction initiatives and developing efficient processes for indirect purchases.
Key responsibilities include negotiating agreements and managing contracts with suppliers, monitoring supplier data, supporting supplier development, maintaining effective relationships with suppliers, driving cost savings initiatives, and preparing data for cost reduction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of market conditions, general supply base capacity for MRO items, security, and capital expenditure. They will also be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with corporate policies and local requirements.
