Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Wing is looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our Electrical and Embedded team. As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle - from product concept (board design and physical layout) all the way to product mass production. You will use your solid hardware design skills coupled with your knowledge of system architecture and software considerations for embedded devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Embedded/Computer Hardware Engineering or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of design experience in an electronics production environment, including experience with packaging, integration, cost reduction, sourcing and transitioning a product from engineering to manufacturing team
• Solid understanding of various motor types (especially BLDC motors) and their control techniques (e.g., FOC, sensorless control)
• Demonstrated experience in the evaluation, testing, and characterization of lithium-ion batteries and Battery Management Systems (BMS)
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment for testing and debugging power electronics, motors, and battery systems (e.g., oscilloscopes, power analyzers, dynamometers, battery cyclers)
• Applied experience with interface technologies: CAN, USB, I2C, RS232, and ethernet
• Experience with python for data collection, analysis, and automation tools
• Strong technical communication/presentation skills and attention to detail
