Job description
The Surgical Assistant provides specified services in the Operating Room and other patient care areas under the direction of the physician, assisting with safe transportation of patients, practicing safe positioning techniques, and reporting malfunctioning equipment. The role requires a graduate of an accredited School of Surgical First Assisting, Certified as a Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) by the National Board of Surgical Technology, and BLS Certification.
