**Apply for this Job****About Us**The Economic Council of the CDU e.V. is a nationwide organized entrepreneurial professional association, whose foundation in 1963 was initiated by the then Federal Minister of Economics and later Federal Chancellor Ludwig Erhard.
We offer entrepreneurs and companies a platform to shape economic and social policy in Germany and have the middle class firmly in sight.
With around 12,000 members, we are the order-political conscience of politics and the strong voice of the social market economy in Germany and Europe.
The Economic Council represents the interests of the entrepreneurial economy against politics, administration, and the public and finances itself exclusively through the contributions of its members.
**Which Position We Represent**The Economic Council of the CDU e.V. advocates for a strong, internationally competitive business location in Germany against politics, administration, and the public.
Without the social market economy, there would be no success story of Germany as a business nation.
That's why we transfer Ludwig Erhard's principles to the present day and develop them further.
Only successful companies can create jobs, pay taxes, and contribute to the social and pension contributions of their employees.
Our credo is: First earn, then distribute. Social security also needs entrepreneurial success.
We also consistently advocate for the promise of upward mobility to be fulfilled in Germany for its young generation.
