City of Spokane Valley Pool - Lead Lifeguard

The Lead Lifeguard promotes effective leadership and problem-solving skills to staff and members, maintaining a safe and exciting environment for both employees and patrons. The role requires monitoring staff behavior, supervising lifeguard staff during emergency situations, and reporting sanitation issues and maintenance needs.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Administering Emergency Oxygen, and completes YMCA program-specific trainings upon hire
• Six months of related experience in aquatic programming
• Knowledge of providing customer and personal services to members, delivering a quality experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
