Senior Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Group IT Services team in the department Z IT Core Services & Managed Client. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in the network environment and in-depth knowledge in routing, switching, LAN, and WLAN.

What You Will Do

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for 3rd-Level-Support in the network environment, control of external service providers, concept, design, and further development of the network architecture, operation and further development of the network infrastructure, and more.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in the network environment
• In-depth knowledge in the areas of routing, switching, LAN, WLAN (ideally Cisco)
• Funded experience in firewall administration (especially Palo Alto)
• Experience in setting up and operating modern network architectures (e.g. MPLS, Cloud-Networking, Hybrid Scenarios)
• Knowledge in the field of SD-WAN is desirable
• Experience in implementing network security and segmentation concepts
• Practice in controlling service providers and external service providers
• Experience in operating high-availability network and load balancing solutions (e.g. Kemp)
• Well-developed analytical skills as well as structured and solution-oriented working methods
• Experience in project management as well as in implementing complex IT initiatives
