Job Description
Join Zipline's Field Systems Engineering team as a Field Systems Engineer - Flight Software to optimize and improve the company's long-range drone system, ensuring its safety, reliability, and usability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, drive execution of improvement projects, and contribute to the development of the system.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, integration & test, mechatronics/robotics engineering, or similar
- Proficiency in one or more strongly typed languages: Rust, C++, C
- Familiarity with software development practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to analyze field performance data, and develop data analysis tools in languages like Python, SQL, MATLAB
- Willingness to work some nights/weekends and travel roughly 10% of the time
