The Radiology Assistant performs patient-related clerical, maintenance, and direct patient care activities to facilitate safe, effective, and confidential patient care.
Requirements
- Greet patients, visitors, family members, physicians, and Associates in a courteous and professional manner.
- Transport patients safely and effectively by wheelchair or stretcher.
- Prepare procedure rooms for examinations or procedures.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, standards, and protocols.
- Remain proficient in the use Radiology/Information Management systems.
- Participate in Performance improvement activities.
- Collect films/CDs, obtain comparison films, and record patient and procedural data.
