Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented chemist to join our Small-Molecule Drug Discovery Chemistry Department at Genentech in South San Francisco, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and synthesizing analogs for molecular targets by applying innovative structure- and computation-driven and property-based design principles in a multi-disciplinary, team-based culture.

Requirements

• PhD with 0-6 years of post-PhD experience, or equivalent and relevant experience in chemical research
• Expertise in modern synthetic organic chemistry is required as demonstrated by a track record of at least one first authored publication(s)
• Ability to conduct multi-step syntheses and retrosynthetic analysis of complex molecules
