Senior Developer, Authentication Enablement

1Password is growing faster than ever. We're looking for a Senior Developer to join our Authentication Enablement Platform team, designing, building, and operating backend services that power 1Password authentication. The role involves leading implementation of complex projects, collaborating with internal teams, and contributing to system design and architecture decisions.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience building and operating production systems at scale
• Experience building API-first services with Go or similar languages
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture
• Experience designing and maintaining production APIs, including HTTP fundamentals, RESTful design, versioning, and backward compatibility
• Experience participating in on-call rotations and debugging production issues in distributed systems
• Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive them through to delivery
• Experience collaborating with multiple engineering teams and supporting internal platform consumers
• Clear communication skills and sound judgment when making technical trade-offs
• Familiarity with authentication systems and Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts
