Job Description
The Electrical Designer II supports the development and execution of electrical designs for utility and power generation facilities, with a primary focus on DC system wiring and physical design.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience as an Electrical Designer or similar role
- Experience with DC electrical system design
- 7+ years of experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, CAD Overlay
- Ability to prepare single-line, elementary, and wiring diagrams with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE)
- High attention to detail and commitment to design quality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with plant staff, engineers, and vendors
