Job Description
The Environmental Specialist 2 is responsible for overseeing land environmental compliance for the company's generation and transmission facilities and infrastructure. This role ensures regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and environmental leadership by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience/knowledge of land environmental compliance regulations, such as RCRA, CERCLA, Hazardous Waste, Solid Waste, and PCBs.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Proficiency in environmental management software and data analysis tools.
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as: Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), OSHA 40-hour certification (preferred but not required).
