Job Description
The GIS Analyst III will develop a strong understanding of current GIS data environments, workflows, and business processes to design and implement solutions for data integrations, transformations, and deliverables. This role supports GIS data analysis, data mining, technical support, database design, and maintenance to meet both internal and external customer requirements.
Requirements
- Perform advanced GIS analysis, modeling, and database design
- Conduct data mining to meet customer requirements and specifications
- Generate specialized queries, maps, and reports
- Process, prepare, convert, and migrate spatial and tabular data
- Maintain and update GIS databases
- Apply linear referencing techniques and concepts
- Work with Utility and Pipeline Data Model (UPDM)
- Support Utility Network and ArcGIS Enterprise environments
- Perform QA/QC on versioned data prior to production deployment
- Create and maintain automated processes using Model Builder, Python scripting, or other tools
- Perform application testing and document defects
- Develop testing scripts and execute validation procedures
- Interface with users to gather requirements and document requested system changes
