Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated GIS Technician to support the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of our geographic information systems (GIS) data.
Requirements
- Assist with the management and maintenance of GIS databases to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Perform data entry and updates to spatial and attribute information using GIS tools.
- Support the creation of basic maps and spatial data visualizations for internal use and reporting.
- Collaborate with GIS Analysts and Engineers on data-driven projects and spatial analysis.
- Participate in training programs to improve proficiency in GIS software and best practices.
- Conduct data quality checks to ensure completeness, consistency, and correctness of spatial data.
- Assist in the documentation of GIS workflows, metadata, and standard operating procedures.
