Sr Maintenance Tech Supervisor

Reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, the primary responsibility is to supervise the daily performance of every Maintenance Tech on assigned shift to achieve team and company objectives. This hands-on supervisor will have broad based industrial maintenance experience and a core skill set in plastic injection molding machines and/or plastic sheet extrusion, inline thermoforming, EPP/EPS shape molding, and related production support equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year accredited college or university and three to five years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Maintenance experience in one or more of the following manufacturing processes: plastic injection molding, plastic sheet extrusion, plastic inline thermoforming, and/or EPP/EPS shape molding.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as mechanical, electrical and hydraulic prints or schematics, safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using a computer.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to learn and safely operate one or more of the following: electric or propane-fueled forklift, scissor lift, and/or boom lift.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 8 or more years of related experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role, Excellent planning, leadership, and communication skills, Previous experience in corrective or preventative maintenance and troubleshooting with Haitian 2 and 3 platen injection molding machines and/or JSW hydraulic or electric injection molding machines, Star robots, Lyle inline thermoforming, Davis-Standard inline sheet extrusion, Akkaya EPP/EPS shape molding machines, Universal Dynamics (Una-Dyn) and/or Novatec material handling equipment, Experience in operating forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts, Detail oriented, Advanced computer skills
