Security Control Assessor

The Security Control Assessor role involves assessing cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities to inform senior leadership and stakeholders. The role requires a cyber mission specialist with experience in security control assessments, NIST standards, and cloud platforms. The position involves working with teams to evaluate potential weaknesses and develop operations plans to support critical global cyber missions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Security Control Assessments
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53 or 800-30 standards
• Ability to handle a high volume of assessments, including program-scale operations
• Ability to convey complex security concepts to various stakeholders
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred
• Experience with Linux systems
• Experience assessing non-traditional IT systems, including in a program-scale context
