Journalism Editor Internship (People of Color Entertainment Trade Site)

We are looking for a Journalism Editor Internship to manage our start-up digital media site A Hot Set. As an unpaid, part-time, remote internship, the successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and supervising site contributors, developing AP Style articles, and reviewing and approving content.

• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Expert-level proficiency in AP Style writing format
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of diverse international social and political landscapes
• Proven capacity to analyze and interpret international social and political events from multiple perspectives
• Exceptional time management skills with a track record of meeting stringent deadlines
• Expert knowledge of communication and mass media principles and practices
• Proficiency in learning and adapting to new online content media platforms
• Previous editorial or content management experience, or demonstrated success in managing a relevant site independently
