Controller - Mesa, AZ

A New Leaf is seeking a Controller to oversee the organization's accounting operations and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. The Controller will provide leadership within the Accounting & Finance Department and support a complex nonprofit environment that includes government funding, grants, donations, program revenue, and real estate assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Seven to ten years of progressive accounting experience
• Minimum of five years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or other relevant advanced certification
• Experience in nonprofit accounting, including fund accounting and management of multiple funding sources
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), nonprofit financial reporting, internal controls, and federal funding regulations
