Job Description
AAA United States, Inc. is seeking a 1st Class Ship Fitter to fabricate, assemble, and install structural parts of ships and marine vessels. The role involves reading blueprints, using hand tools and power tools, and working in a shipyard setting, adhering to safety protocols. It is a construction related position working on marine vessels and supporting a customer in a marine industry.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of ship fitting or related fabrication experience in a shipyard or heavy industrial setting
- Ability to read and understand shipyard drawings and blueprints
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, cutting torches, and measuring instruments
- Familiarity with shipyard safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various environmental conditions
