Job Description
AAA United States, Inc. is partnering with a company in Houma, LA that provides construction, manufacturing, engineering, repair, and conversion products and services to the marine industry. The 1st Class Structural Welder will be responsible for welding steel structures on marine vessels to shipyard specifications and blue prints. This role involves following safety protocols and collaborating with various trades.
Requirements
- Perform structural welding on ship components
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Utilize SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes
- Prepare work surfaces for welding
- Inspect welds for conformance to specifications
- Follow shipyard safety policies
- Work in various positions (overhead, vertical, flat)
- Collaborate with ship fitters and other trades
