Postdoctoral researcher in quantum algorithms and optimization

We are looking for a Postdoctoral researcher in quantum algorithms and optimization to support the Micro and Quantum Systems (MQS) research group in fundamental and applied research in quantum computing at Aalto University’s Electronics and Nanoengineering department. The role involves conducting research, supervising doctoral students, and teaching activities.

Requirements

• PhD in theoretical physics, mathematics, computer science, or other relevant field.
• Sufficient background in quantum computing to conduct research on the topic.
• Demonstrated ability for independent and collaborative research on advanced topics.
• Working proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with quantum optics theory and/or experiments is a definite advantage.
• Teaching experience is a valuable asset.
