The aircraft inspector is responsible for performing assigned inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with technical data provided by the manufacturers for continued airworthiness.
Requirements
- FAA Certificated with Airframe and Powerplant rating
- Three years experience in maintenance and repair of airframes, powerplants, and systems of aircraft with takeoff weight of more than 12,500 pounds
- Experience involving inspection, inspection techniques, and inspection tools with responsibility for certifying airworthiness
- Knowledge of FARs and Ability to apply and interpret Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Advisory Circulars, AC manuals, Policies, and procedures relating to aircraft maintenance and airworthiness
- Meets physical requirements of the job including twisting, standing, sitting, bending, and climbing a latter and able to lift 50 pounds
- Must read, write and understand the English language
