Cook

We're looking for a Cook to join our team at Abbeyfield House in Bramhall. You'll be responsible for creating healthy balanced menus, planning, preparing and cooking residents' meals, and managing catering costs within the agreed budget. The role requires a Certificate in Food Hygiene, experience in cooking for large groups, and the ability to work productively as part of a team.

Requirements

• Certificate in Food Hygiene or willing to obtain one within the first three months
• Experience of cooking varied, healthy and safe meals to large groups (twelve or more, and sometimes up to 20)
• Ability to communicate and interact well with people
• Methodical and highly organised
• Empathy and understanding of the nutritional needs of older people
