Abbott is a global healthcare leader seeking a Manager Manufacturing Engineering - Extrusion to manage planning and completion of manufacturing/production engineering activities for extrusion manufacturing lines. The role will provide leadership to engineering and technician staff, project management direction, and drive continuous improvement of engineering technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Or An equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Masters Degree Preferred
- Minimum 3 years project management experience involving coordination of cross-functional teams
- Prior experience in medical device manufacturing preferred
- Minimum 7 years in Manufacturing/process development experience, with minimum 4 years of people management experience
- Experience with statistical techniques (i.e. DOE, SPC) as well as Lean manufacturing techniques, value stream mapping and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of GMP and ISO regulations.
- Demonstrated success in leading manufacturing technology transfer project to global operations.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
