Principal Clinical Scientist

Abbott is a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life. The Principal Clinical Scientist will design clinical trials and studies, provide scientific leadership, and lead the generation of study-related documents. The role will involve collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to support device premarket approval and business priorities. The Principal Clinical Scientist will also develop the scientific podium and publication strategy, synthesize literature, and review and critically assess statistical analysis plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 8 years of related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area
• Comprehensive knowledge of a particular technological field
• Experience in the medical device industry, preferred
• Experience with clinical trials, highly desirable
• Experience in a vascular/cardiovascular fields, a plus
