Job Description
The Financial Analyst will support legal fee settlement payments, month-end close activities, and ongoing financial forecasting to support decision-making for legal business partners. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will assist with process enhancements and reporting improvements.
Requirements
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports for month-end close activities.
- Aid the Finance Manager with OEC forecast responsibilities.
- Maintain forecasting budget trackers and EAL planning calendar.
- Serve as the primary contact for insurance-backed legal matters, including maintaining impact summaries and supporting carrier invoicing.
- Monitor capital and project expense activity.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly finance reports (e.g., Passport Report for Deal Fees, Legal Fee Aging Report, New Matter Report, Legal Ops Spend Report).
- Perform quarterly compliance audits and maintain legal fee balance sheet sweeps.
- Support settlement payments (< $10MM).
