Act as a data governance subject matter expert supporting the Finance Department to align data governance standards with BCBS239 requirements. Execute data governance activities by breaking down high-level objectives into actionable tasks and delivering concrete outputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance or data management roles within a financial institution, preferably banking.
- Consulting firm experience is a must.
- Strong understanding of BCBS239 principles and data governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments involving business, IT, compliance, and vendors.
- Experience collaborating with Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management teams on internal or regulatory reporting.
- Strong documentation skills using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Familiarity with data lineage concepts and tools (e.g. Collibra or similar platforms), understanding of finance and accounting business processes, regulatory reporting, and related systems are a plus.
- Solid project management skills, including progress tracking, issue and risk management, and stakeholder coordination, experience preparing and delivering reports or presentations to senior management or executives and good stakeholder management and communication skills are a plus.
