The Senior Quality Control Civil Engineer is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining project submittal logs and quality control reports, as well as implementing the QC management system at the site.
Requirements
- Create, update, and maintain project submittal log and quality control reports
- Provide written daily QC reports and constructively confront non-conformances
- Implement the QC management system at the site
- Coordinate quality inspections with site staff
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
- Verify and document materials received for the project
- Conduct preconstruction meetings and schedule code and independent inspections
- Document final inspections and maintain project 'as-built' drawings
- Coordinate testing on site and receipt inspections
- Monitor and implement document controlling system and other procedures
- Distribute QC documentation to site subcontractors
- Verify quality-related site activities are in accordance with codes and standards
- Participate in site internal and external audits
- Devises sampling procedures and designs forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data
- Develops sampling plans using attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods
- Assist QC Manager in conducting internal quality audits
- Provide technical support to Project Manager and guidance to site staff
- Liaise with Client's representatives for day-to-day quality-related project activities
- Conduct periodic follow-up inspections to verify work is proceeding with contract documents and approved submittals
- Stop work if necessary to resolve safety, quality, and/or logical progression of work issues
