Job Description
Abilities First, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist to work in the LaGrange School program in Poughkeepsie, NY. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide educational and therapeutic interventions to school-age children. The role involves assessing student needs, providing treatment, and ensuring proper documentation and adherence to agency policies. The position is a full-time, Monday-Friday position with a 48-week summer program.
Requirements
- Evaluates student needs and determines appropriate program goals.
- Provides direct treatment to students on assigned caseload.
- Schedules assigned caseload in conjunction with classroom staff.
- Assesses student progress and recommends equipment.
- Communicates with parents, staff, and related service personnel.
- Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants.
