Field Applications Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer who has the right mix of technical prowess and business savvy to identify, select, source, win and support new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly respond and support our salespeople with their customer’s technical issues while also finding and driving new opportunities on their own.

What You Will Do

Spending a majority of your time in front of customers to influence component selection, managing supplier and customer expectations, growing your account base each quarter, and driving demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can prioritize their activities to maximize Design Wins and Sales Revenue, and will be able to quickly learn the company’s sales support systems to confidently search for new leads to pursue with or without the responsible account manager.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience
• In-depth knowledge with system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components
• Breadth of knowledge of electronic components
• Experience with design engineering
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
• Independent worker; receives minimal guidance
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Stays up-to-date on supplier products and arrow design services in order to act as a technical-marketing advisor to customers
