Job Description
The Offshore Fitter is responsible for accurately laying out, cutting, and fitting piping, vessel, and structural components based on supplied drawings. This position requires offshore construction experience, physical capability, and a strong commitment to quality, productivity, and safety. The fitter must maintain professionalism and work effectively with helpers, riggers, and welders.
Requirements
- Accurately lay out, cut, and fit piping, vessel, and structural components based on supplied drawings.
- Use pipe cutting and beveling machines to cut pipes.
- Align parts with jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, and pry bars.
- Mark reference points on floor/face block.
- Ascend/descend stairs frequently.
- Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines.
- Read blueprints and understand ISOs.
- Follow JSEA and perform regular quality assessments.
