Principal Advisor (Digital Innovation)

This is a fixed term role through to the end of January 2027. Wellington is the preferred location, however Auckland may be considered. As Principal Advisor (Digital Innovation), you will bring a strong people lens to complex, technology led change. A key focus of this role is supporting ACC to grow its AI capability, with particular emphasis on understanding how AI and emerging technologies will impact our kaimahi, the work they do, and how we design our future workforce.

Requirements

• A background in HR or People & Culture, with experience working closely with technology, digital or data-led initiatives (or vice versa)
• A high user of and strong understanding of AI technologies, including how different AI applications can impact people, roles, capability and ways of working
• The ability to translate between HR and technology domains, bridging language, priorities and perspectives
• Systems-level thinking and the ability to solve complex, organisation-wide problems
• Experience designing and supporting pilots, including defining success measures and evaluating impact
• Strong research capability, using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform advice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly at all levels
• A collaborative, relationship-focused approach, with the ability to influence across disciplines
