Requirements
- BS/BA degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET (or Owner approved equivalent) accredited college/university
- 5 years' experience in the following areas: Construction, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment, Relay protection and control systems, Start-up and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, Electrical Field engineering, Arc Flash safety training, Troubleshooting of electrical equipment or systems
- SCADA and communication systems Specialized advanced training is also required (e.g., PTI. WPI, ECNE PUI, a graduate level engineering degree)
- Professional experience in commissioning and testing of electrical substations, including supervision of construction, commissioning, and energization activities
- Professional knowledge of electrical systems, protection & control, and substation equipment
- Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in the field
- Professional experience with problem-solving and decision-making under project deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Willingness to travel and work on-site across New York State
