Job Description
Achievers Early College Prep Charter School is seeking a NJ Certified High School Art/Graphic Design Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in content knowledge in National Visual Arts Standards and experience with online applications to enhance learning.
Requirements
- Expertise in content knowledge in National Visual Arts Standards
- Extensive knowledge of a variety of disciplines including 2-D, 3-D, and digital arts
- Experience/comfort with online applications to enhance learning
- Ability to design and implement curriculum and assessments that measure progress towards academic standards
- Use data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices
- Receptive to weekly coaching and committed to growing and strengthening practice
- Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior
- Implement multiple techniques for increased student engagement and checking for understanding
- Familiarity with Google Classroom and virtual meeting platforms
- Effective communication with students, families, and colleagues
