Senior Federal and State Tax Analyst

Acrisure is seeking a Senior Analyst, Federal and State Tax to join its growing team in Chicago. The role will drive U.S. federal and state tax compliance, support the quarterly and annual tax provision process, manage audits, and assist in strategic tax planning.

Requirements

• Prepare and review federal and state corporate income/franchise tax returns, extensions, estimated tax payments, and related supporting documentation.
• Assist with preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including related tax footnote disclosures.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax compliance.
• Research tax issues and prepare draft technical memos.
• Assist with gathering information and drafting responses to tax notices received from the IRS and state/local tax jurisdictions.
• Track and organize correspondence received from tax authorities.
• Maintain tax compliance calendar and ensure timely filings.
• Assist with improvements in tax processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting and finance teams globally to ensure tax compliance and alignment with business objectives.
