As a Security Cooperation Officer (SCO), you will assist Mobility Support Advisory Squadron (MSAS) mission planning efforts by working with applicable Air Force Agencies, Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Component Commands, Security Cooperation Offices, and other applicable government agencies.
Requirements
- Contractor personnel shall possess an Undergraduate or master’s degree in an international affairs or international affairs-related field (master’s degree is preferable).
- Must possess a working knowledge of security cooperation concepts at the COCOM, Air Component, or US Embassy Office of Security Cooperation levels. Experience as a foreign area officer in the USAFRICOM AOR preferred.
- Contractor shall have recent practical working experience with USAF security assistance training programs (SA TP), funding authorities and legalities, policies and procedures, knowledge of USAF aviation and aircraft systems training methodologies, intergovernmental working relations between Department of State (DoS)/Department of Defense (DoD)/Embassies to develop, define, plan and or monitor international training.
- Contractor personnel shall possess a secret clearance.
- Contractor shall have a minimum of ten years of experience working at DoD, DoS or ten (10) years’ experience working International Programs at other USG agencies designated for building partnerships and partner capacity with foreign nations.
- Contractor personnel shall have a working knowledge and remain current with the latest version of WINDOWS, and Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Visio).
- Contractor must be organized and possess a keen attention to detail.
- Contractor must be able to effectively communicate (written and verbal) mission findings, reports, concepts to client decision makers.
- All Contract employees shall attain basic level certification in the Security Cooperation Workforce Development through the Defense Security Cooperation University within 3 months after assignment to the MSAS.
