Actemium Automation Huddersfield - Software Controls Engineer

Actemium Automation Huddersfield, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking a capable and motivated Software Controls Engineer to join our automation team. You will work on design, development, and commissioning of control systems for industrial automation projects across manufacturing and process sectors.

Requirements

• Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, degree or equivalent) or proven practical experience in controls engineering.
• Strong experience programming PLCs and HMIs/SCADA; familiarity with Mitsubishi and Schneider Electric platforms is desirable.
• Good understanding of electrical control circuits, I/O, and industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with commissioning and fault‐finding on site.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare clear technical reports and interact professionally with clients.
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a project team.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
