Requirements

• Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering (Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent experience)
• Proven background in mechanical design ideally within regulated sectors — for example, nuclear, energy, oil & gas, process or heavy industry
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, mechanical systems and assemblies, and plant/equipment design
• Experience producing or checking 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
• Knowledge of UK and international engineering standards and statutory regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively—explaining concepts clearly and engaging with diverse teams and clients
• Analytical and detail-focused, with problem-solving skills and a drive for continuous improvement
• Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to client/project sites as needed
