Cloud Engineer

ActioNet has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to join our interdisciplinary team to deliver the next generation of cloud-native data analytics and production systems for one of the nation’s leading public data sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS services
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance - US Citizenship for Eligibility
• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native applications
• Strong understanding of application migration strategies and tools
• Excellent knowledge of AWS services (S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Athena, Redshift, SageMaker, QuickSight) and best practices
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures
• Strong skills leveraging IaC developing automated deployment and orchestrations solutions using TerraForm, CloudFormation, and other scripting tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and teams
• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is highly preferred
• Experience supporting federal government organizations and missions is highly preferred
